CITY COMPLETE MIDDLETON CAPTURE

1 February 2020

Bradford City has beaten off competition to complete the signing of rising Scottish star Glenn Middleton.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has agreed a loan deal until the end of the season, arriving from Ladbrokes Premiership side Rangers.

Middleton, a Scottish under-21 international, has scored five goals in 28 appearances for the Ibrox outfit.

He spent the first half of this season at Hibernian and is now a Bantam, after his signature was secured with minutes of the January transfer window remaining.

Following EFL ratification this morning, the club can today confirm Middleton's arrival at the Utilita Energy Stadium.

City boss Gary Bowyer is delighted to have seen the Scotsman put pen to paper.

He said: “Glenn is a great capture for us and we are delighted to have finally been able to announce his signing.

“He is a very exciting player, who will bring flair and dynamism to our midfield.

“We look forward to working with him and welcoming him to the club."

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard added: "Glenn been a great impact player for us and has done terrifically.

"He is a great finisher and you always get judged - as an attacking player - on goals and assists."

Middleton's move is subject to FA and international clearances.
