BIG MATCH PREVIEW: CITY v PLYMOUTH

28 February 2020

City return to Sky Bet League Two action with a 3.00pm visit of Plymouth Argyle, on Saturday.

The Bantams will be looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats - to keep play-off hopes alive.

Ryan Lowe's high-flying Pilgrims sit fourth in the league table, just four points off top having remained undefeated in their last four encounters.

The Home Park outfit suffered relegation from Sky Bet League One, alongside the Bantams, last season.

We have compiled a Big Match Preview packed full of everything you need to know ahead of the 3.00pm clash…

TEAM NEWS

City: Stuart McCall will be hoping to recall the likes of Callum Cooke - who has spent the last two matches sidelined with a back problem.

Clayton Donaldson could keep his place up front, after scoring in last week's trip to Newport County.

And Kelvin Mellor will be hoping to play a part against his former club, having missed over a month with a knee problem.

Plymouth: Ryan Lowe will again be without Josh Grant, who missed last week's visit of Cambridge United.

The on-loan Chelsea defender is still in West London undergoing rehabilitation for an injury.

The Pilgrims do have the likes of Ryan Hardie, Dom Telford and Will Aimson returning from the treatment room, however.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID

Kenny Black (assistant manager): "Plymouth have a decent squad with quality throughout - a lot of whom they have kept from their time in."

"They play a good style of attacking football so it should be a great, very entertaining game."

Ryan Lowe: "Bradford are a very good team. Stuart McCall has come in and made a couple of changes.

"There will be a big crowd at Valley Parade. That is a motivation for us."

LAST TIME OUT

City's last meeting with the Devon outfit came in the return fixture in November.

Two first-half goals saw the Bantams unable to halt Plymouth's winning run, as they fell to a 2-1 defeat.
