AWAY DAY GUIDE: OLDHAM v CITY

The Bantams are looking forward to action back on the road this afternoon, making the short trip to Oldham Athletic. 

We have compiled a handy Away Day Guide - packed full of useful information ahead of the 3.00pm contest!

PYROTECHNICS & BEHAVIOUR

The club would like to remind supporters the possession or use of pyrotechnics inside a football ground is strictly prohibited.

Those found to be carrying or using pyrotechnics will face a long-term ban.

We would like to remind supporters it is a criminal offence to enter the pitch at any time.

Anyone who does so without permission can expect to face prosecution.

ABOUT THE GROUND

Boundary Park has been home to Oldham Athletic since opening back in 1904. 

The 13,513-capacity venue has also been home to Oldham Rugby League Football Club this century, prior to its renovation in 2014. 

An all-seater venue, Boundary Park compromises of four stands; the Chadderton Road End - where Bantams supporters will be housed - the Main Stand, the Joe Royle Stand and the Jimmy Frizzell Stand. 

TICKETS

Supporters can PAY ON THE GATE for this afternoon's encounter. 

Over 1,800 Bantams are set to descend upon Boundary Park and will be housed in the Chadderton Road End. 

Admission prices are as follows: 

Adults - £22
Concessions (Over-65s, Under-21s and Students) - £10
Under-18s - £7
 
Disabled supporters pay the age-related cost and will be entitled to a free carer if in possession of DLA or PIP at the mid-or-enhanced rates.

CAR PARKING

Parking on matchdays is available in the Hospital Car Park (OL1 2PA) for a cost of £5. A steward will be on hand to assist. 

Space here is limited, however, and supporters should arrive early in order to avoid disappointment. 

ENTERTAINMENT AND REFRESHMENTS

To drink:

The Greyhound Inn which is across Broadway down Holden Fold Lane, welcomes visiting fans, shows Sky and BT Sports and serves real ale. 

It is also has a large car park which can accommodate coaches and is around a 10-minute walk away from the visitors' turnstiles.

To eat:

The closest pub is the Clayton Green, which is a Brewers Fayre outlet, and can be found 200 yards from the corner of the Main Stand and Chadwick End, on Sheepfoot Lane. 

Food is also available inside the concourse of the stand, with the usual selection of pies and pasties on offer. 

GETTING THERE

By car:

Leave the M62 at Junction 20 and take the A627(M) towards Oldham. Take the second slip road off the A627(M) following the signs for Royton (A663).

At the top of the slip road you will find a large roundabout that on the left has a McDonalds and a KFC. Take the second exit onto the A627 towards Oldham/Oldham Royal Hospital.

After passing a Vauxhall Garage and Clayton Green Brewers Fayre pub (which is used by away fans), turn left at the traffic lights.

Follow the road around to the right and with the B&Q store in front of you, bear left onto Westhulme Way which leads into Westhulme Avenue.

Continue along this road where Boundary Park will be at the end of it, on the left. 

By train: 

Currently, the 149, 159, 181, 182, 183, 402, 408, 409 and 418 services run close to the stadium.

Journeys could take longer than advertised on match days due to the volume of traffic, so please allow additional time for your journey.

WEATHER

A wet afternoon could be in store for supporters, with temperatures of 8°C set to be matched by a 77 per-cent chance of rain.
