COUSIN-DAWSON CALLS FOR ‘SOLID’ CITY

Finn Cousin-Dawson is looking for City to put in another “solid” performance - when entertaining Cambridge United tomorrow (3.00pm).

The young defender played 90 minutes at right-back as the Bantams battled towards a point at Crawley Town on Tuesday.

And, after an encouraging display in West Sussex, Cousin-Dawson wants the Bantams to continue building.

He said: “It was a good performance at Crawley. We went out and did our job by staying compact and being difficult to break down.

“They did not have a shot on target, and we probably could have won in the second half - with the chances we had.

“Every team will carry a threat, and we have to be compact - like we were on Tuesday - and stay solid, to minimise the threats of whoever we are playing.”

Cousin-Dawson has also praised the impact of caretaker manager Mark Trueman and assistant Conor Sellars - both of whom he has experience of playing with at under-18 level.

The City academy graduate claims both Trueman and Sellars have impacted his career positively over the past few years, and is delighted to be working with them once more.

The 18-year-old added: “Both Mark and Conor have had a massive influence on my career.

“They have both improved me a lot as a player - throughout my time in the youth team.

“I know a lot about how they set up their teams and there is a lot of trust involved. I know them well and they know a lot about me and how I play.”
