City go in search of back-to-back victories this evening, hosting Manchester City Under-21s in the Leasing.com Trophy (7.30pm).

A first v second clash at the top of Northern Group F awaits the Utilita Energy Stadium faithful on matchday two of the competition, with both sides heading into this tie undefeated.

The Bantams begun their campaign with a penalty shoot-out victory over Bolton Wanderers - following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes - on Tuesday September 3.

Their Lancashire opposites, meanwhile, sit one point ahead of the Bantams on top of the group after a 2-0 victory at Rochdale on Wednesday September 11.

We have compiled a handy Matchday Guide - packed full of helpful information ahead of the fixture.

OUR OPPONENTS

Manchester City's under-21s side currently sit top of Northern Group F with three points after a 2-0 win at Rochdale in their opening game.

The young Citizens made it to the quarter-final of last season's competition, losing 2-0 to eventual runners-up, Sunderland.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Ross Joyce will take charge of this evening's encounter.

The Cleveland official has overseen eight matches so far this campaign, issuing 33 yellow cards and one red.

Joyce officiated two City matches, last season: our thrilling 4-4 FA Cup draw at home to Peterborough United (six yellows) and 4-2 defeat to Coventry City (seven yellows, one red).

The man in the middle also took charge of Manchester City Under-21s' Leasing.com Trophy fourth-round win at Rochdale (January 8), dishing out one yellow card in the Sky Blues' 4-2 triumph.

Joyce will be flanked by Christopher Ward and Geoffrey Liddle, with Billy Smallwood on fourth official duty.

THE PARADER

There will be no edition of City's official matchday programme this evening.

The Parader will be back when the Bantams return to Sky Bet League Two action - against Swindon Town - on Saturday October 5.

THE CITY SHOP

The City Shop will be open from 9.30am until 5.00pm today to allow supporters another opportunity to get their hands on the Bantams’ 2019/20 home, away and third kits.

The strips will be on sale along with City’s all-new training range, gifts and other official club merchandise.

WEATHER

Supporters could be in for a wet night at the Utilita Energy Stadium, this evening.

Despite mild temparatures of around 15°C, there is a 19% chance of rain.
