AWAY DAY GUIDE: BOLTON v CITY

3 September 2019

The Bantams travel to Bolton this evening, getting their Leasing.com Trophy campaign underway!

Ahead of the fixture, we have compiled a handy Away Day guide – packed full of useful information ahead of the 7.00pm kick-off.

STADIUM ADDRESS

University of Bolton Stadium

Burnden Way

Bolton

Lancashire

BL6 6JW

ABOUT THE GROUND

The University of Bolton Stadium – opened as Reebok Stadium - replaced Burnden Park as the Wanderers’ home in 1997.

The ground is an all seater venue, with a capacity of 28,723.

The stadium consists of four stands: The Carrs Pasties (North) Stand at one end; the West Stand at one side of the pitch; and the Nat Lofthouse (east) Stand at the other side. The South Stand will house the travelling City supporters.

TICKETS

City supporters can pay on the gate tonight, with all tickets - for both home and away supporters - priced at only £5.

The admission price includes a complimentary four-page souvenir matchday supplement as well as FREE car parking.

Turnstiles open at 6.15pm ahead of the 7.00pm kick-off, which marks the start of City’s Leasing.com Trophy campaign.

Travelling supporters will enter via Block E of the Franking Sense South Stand at the University of Bolton Stadium.

CAR PARKING

Car Parking will be available free of charge at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Bantams supporters will be able to park in Car Park A.

ENTERTAINMENT AND REFRESHMENTS

The Beehive is the main pub for away fans, just a little way down the road, on a roundabout after coming off the M61.

There are a number of bars on the Middlebrook Retail Park next to the stadium.  However, we understand that most of these will only admit home fans. There are plenty of places to eat here including KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Subway and McDonalds.

On the other side of the motorway, the Brinsop Country Inn allows away fans.

GETTING THERE

By Road
From the North
Once on the M61, follow signs for Manchester/Bolton and leave at Junction 6 (the University of Bolton Stadium should be visible on the left). Take the first exit off the roundabout onto the A6027, the De Havilland Way. At the next roundabout, take a left turn onto Burnden Way and park in the main stadium visitors' car park.

From the South
If travelling up the M6, follow signs for the M62 and leave at Junction 21a, following signs for Manchester. Join the M60 at Junction 12 and proceed to follow signs for the M61 towards Preston. Do NOT take the A666 towards Bolton. Turn off the M61 at Junction 6 and take the third exit off the roundabout onto the A6027, the De Havilland Way. At the next roundabout, take a left turn onto Burnden Way and park in the main stadium visitors' car park.

Car Park A
This is the car park available for away supporters to use on a matchday and is located at the South end of the stadium and is accessed via the A6027, De Havilland Way. This car park is clearly sign posted from the motorway junction. Parking is available for cars, mini coaches and coaches. Entry can be purchased on a matchday.
