WOMEN ON HUNT FOR NEW MANAGER

3 October 2019

Bradford City Women are on the lookout for a new manager - following Steve Winterburn's resignation.

Winterburn - who took the permanent helm at the club at the beginning of this season - stood down from his role due to a change in family circumstances.

The coach has a long history with Bradford City Women, previously stretching over a 10-year period.

It is understood Winterburn is now not looking to return to coaching.

Club chairperson, Sally Thackray, paid tribute to her former manager, saying: "Steve has compelling reasons to leave the club.

"He believes departing now gives a new incumbent time to continue the good work he started, steady the ship and progress further.

"We are grateful to Steve for all he has done for the club and wish him nothing but the very best, for the future."

For more information on the voluntary manager's role at Bradford City Women's Football Club, please contact Matthew Kermode at matthew@bcwfc.co.uk.
