VACANCY: COMMERCIAL SALES MANAGER

Bradford City Football Club is looking to recruit a highly-motivated and enthusiastic commercial sales manager to identify, prospect and acquire new commercial sponsorship and advertising agreements - at all levels.

Reporting to the chief commercial officer, and working closely within the club's commercial team, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing our partnership base, along with selling the club's wide range of commercial products to both regional and national businesses.

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the role is to generate revenue for Bradford City’s commercial products, through targeted business development activities which will consist of phone, email and face to face meetings. Success will be measured through building a pipeline for all commercial sales and subsequent conversions.

The key focus will be on new business prospecting and working on high value opportunities to consistently deliver and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with the chief commercial officer, to identify, prospect and acquire partnership opportunities; 

In collaboration with the commercial sales team, deliver the club’s advertising & sponsorship sales budgets; principally: 

Stadium and other advertising opportunities

Player kit sponsorship

Program & publications advertising etc

To cross sell match day sponsorship and hospitality experiences to the existing client base and developing and delivering new customers. 

Delivery of sales from tactical sales campaigns with clearly defined targets and metrics. Metrics may include but not limited to:

Revenue secured

Leads generated through a strategic and targeted approach

Schedule face to face appointments

Participate in matchday responsibilities, particularly focused on client entertaining and networking

Provide accurate, clear and precise information to the customer in line with department standards whilst delivering outstanding customer service

Maintain a structured, organised calendar and share with line manager on a weekly basis

Provide weekly activity updates to line manager including customer meetings and deal progression pipeline

Build creative client proposals and campaigns that will drive additional revenue

Represent the company at agreed trade shows and networking events

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

Proven track record of delivering growth and exceeding sales targets

Experience in a related B2B sales industry and the role

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels

High standard of personal appearance

Proactive and tenacious approach to selling

Entrepreneurial approach to business

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment

Excellent time management and working to tight deadlines

Rigorous attention to detail

A commitment to driving forwards continuous improvement

Sound personal qualities such as communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, self-motivation, enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure. They should exhibit pride in performance and possess high standards in the provision of service to the Clubs customers and internal users.

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
