ONES TO WATCH
Scott Brown:
An experienced goalkeeper, Brown has made more than 450 professional appearances over the course of a 14-year career.
At Vale since last year, the 34-year-old former Wolverhamton Wanderers apprentice served a notable nine-year stint at Cheltenham Town in addition to turning out for Aberdeen and Wycombe Wanderers.
David Worrall:
Worrall carries a wealth of EFL experience having racked up 433 professional appearances since his debut - in 2006.
A product of Bury's academy, the 29-year-old winger has also represented Milwall, Southend United and Oldham Athletic, among others.
Will Atkinson:
Versitile Will Atkinson is no stranger to City supporters, having played a pivotal role in the Bantams' history-making 2012/13 campaign.
The 31-year-old graduated from Hull City's academy and has also turned out for the likes of Southend United, Mansfield Town ans Rochdale.
David Amoo:
A pacey, direct winger, Amoo made his professional debut in the UEFA Europa League for Liverpool in 2010 - where he is an academy graduate.
The 28-year-old has also notably appeared for Preston North End, Partick Thistle, Carlisle United and Cambridge United.
THE MANAGER
Manager John Askey has been at the Port Vale helm since signing an initial short-term contract - in Fenruary.
An established playing career as an attacker saw Askey garduate from Vale's academy before scoring 155 goals in 679 appearances for Macclesfield Town - over the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.
The Macclesfield icon also held the hot seat at the Silkmen between 2013 and 2018, on top of a managerial stint at Shrewsbury Town, last year.
THE CAPTAIN
Locally-born Tom Pope has spent seven years of his 14-year professional career at Port Vale, over three different spells.
The 34-year old forward began his career at Crewe Alexandra - where he also spent time as an apprentice - and has also turned out for Rotherham United and Bury.
Pope has scored 142 professional goals over the course of 504 competitive matches.
