FA CUP FIRST-ROUND DRAW TO TAKE PLACE NEXT WEEK

17 October 2019

City will find out their opponents in the first round of this year's Emirates FA Cup - in next week's draw.

The draw, which will be broadcast live on BBC Two, is set to get underway from 7.00pm on Monday (October 21).

Five-time FA Cup winner and former England midfielder Karen Carney and ex-Leeds United and Everton striker Jermaine Beckford will conduct proceedings.

The draw will be screened live from the home of either Royston Town or Maldon & Tiptree, depending on which non-league side is victorious in this Saturday's final qualifying round fixture.

The 32 non-league clubs which progress from this weekend’s fourth-round qualifying ties will be joined by 47 clubs from Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two.

Due to Bury FC’s removal from the EFL and, subsequently, The Emirates FA Cup, there will be an odd number of clubs entering the draw.

As a result, the final club left in the draw, which is not drawn to play a first-round fixture, will automaticlly recieve a bye into the second round proper.

The Bantams have been given ball No.5 for the draw, with first-round ties to be contested over the weekend of Saturday November 9.
