Callum Cooke is hoping he and his City team-mates can make up for the midweek defeat to Port Vale, in tomorrow’s trip to Macclesfield Town.
The Bantams’ three-match winning streak was halted by the Valiants, who left the Utilita Energy Stadium with a 2-1 victory - on Tuesday night.
The midfielder identified errors from the contest - both personally and as part of the side - and is desperate to atone for them.
Cooke said: "Collectively, we were very disappointed, following Tuesday’s game.
"I cannot believe we took nothing from the game. In the first half, we never really got started but, based on our second-half performance, we were unlucky.
"I take partial blame, for giving the ball away in the lead up to the winning goal. Mistakes happen in football, but that one proved costly.
"I always think of the negatives in games. That is where you improve.
"For it to happen to me was extremely disappointing. I was sat in the hotel - after the game - and really was gutted. It is about how I bounce back from this, now.
"It is up to us to get another run going - against Macclesfield - and we are looking forward to tomorrow’s game.
"If we can pick up another three points, it may prove an important victory, come the end of the season. Hopefully, we can begin another good run of form."
Having been brought in towards the end of the summer transfer window, Cooke admitted he is still adjusting to the position Gary Bowyer is deploying him in.
Known as a more attacking midfielder, the Peterborough United loanee is now playing a little deeper, and insists there is still plenty to come from him, this season.
The 22-year-old added: "I am really enjoying my football, personally, at the moment.
"This is a new role for me and adds a lot more responsibility. When we have the ball, a lot of the play is coming through me, or the player in the No.4 position.
"I feel my best position is in an attacking No.8 role but, as a deep-lying playmaker, I get on the ball a lot more, which is what Gary (Bowyer) wants from me.
"Nine times out of 10, the game is won in midfield battles. The defensive side of the game - in the role - is new to me but I am relishing it and there is still lots to come.
"Over everything else, I am enjoying the role and am just happy and grateful to be playing football."
