BANTAMS WELCOME NEW ACADEMY SCHOLARS

8 October 2019

City are pleased to announce the signing of six exciting new youth academy prospects.

Under-15s Noah Wadsworth, Sam Bentley and Darryl Ombiang and under-16s Harvey Rowe, Cole Roberts and Raj Palit have agreed deals to remain within the young Bantams' setup until at least the completion of their two-year scholarships.

The players are to stay at the club for the forseeable future, joining Mark Trueman's under-18s side once the junior stage of their development is complete.

The sextet penned their deals on the Utilita Energy Stadium pitch prior to the Bantams' Leasing.com Trophy clash with Manchester City Under-21s, last month.

City's academy manager, Neil Matthews, said: "We are delighted to welcome these lads to our scholarship programme.

"These boys have shown great desire, work ethic and consistency in their performances and fully deserve this opportunity.

"As an academy we work very closely, together, to monitor the progress of the players.

"They all have a lot of promise and potential and we are looking forward to seeing them continue their pathway and progression, here at Bradford City."

Trueman's under-18s are back in action this weekend with a trip to Mansfield Town (October 12).
