City have completed the signing of experienced midfielder Chris Taylor on a short-term contract.

Taylor has put pen to paper on a deal which will see him remain at the Utilita Energy Stadium until the middle of January, 2020.

The move sees him reunited with manager Gary Bowyer, who he played under at both Blackburn and Blackpool.

The former Oldham Athletic man is already accustomed to surroundings in West Yorkshire, having spent a period on trial with the club.

Taylor said: "I am over the moon to be here, it has been a very long time coming.

"I play with my heart on my sleeve and give 110 per-cent each and every time I step on the pitch. I cannot wait to pull on the shirt.

"I have been impressed by the standards in training. The lads are doing really well at the minute.

"I am looking forward to knuckling down and, hopefully, playing a big part in the club having a successful year."

Bowyer is delighted to again be linking up with the 32-year-old, adding: "Chris comes in at a good time for us, after injuries for Matty Palmer, Jamie Devitt and Jordan Gibson.

"He gives us more options, as he can play anywhere in midfield and just off the front.

"Chris will bring a wealth of experience and provides great quality from set pieces."

Taylor will wear the No.29 shirt with signing subject to the usual, relevant FA and EFL clearances.
