RINKAUSKAS SEEING ESPORTS IMPROVEMENTS

6 November 2019

City's eSports side have begun making clear improvements - in their performances and results - according to general manager Paul Rinkauskas.

After a difficult opening gameweek, the side improved drastically, the time after, are are currently midway through week three of play.

Rinkauskas can see positive signs from the team and is looking forward to seeing them progress further.

He said: "We are in to week three of our season, now, and the only way to describe our start, so far, would be 'inconsistent'.

"We played some of the top teams in our league during week one and really struggled to get going, only creating a handful of chances.

"Week two was much better, both in performances and in results. We almost maintained a 100 per-cent record, losing just one of our six matches.

"We ended up having two players included in the Team of the Week, for the league, which was a tremendous achievement.

"Week three has not started brilliantly but the squad are working together with the coaches to iron out issues and get us back on track."

Due to differing circumstances, Rinkauskas' side are now a couple of players short.

The eSports boss is again on the look out for new recruits and has urged any potential players to reach out for trials.

He added: "Our balance has been somewhat shifted, recently, as we have lost two key players from our squad.

"First, we lost Jamie, to quite a serious illness. He is now on the mend and we wish him all the best, for his health.

"Following this, another of our players was scouted by a fellow eSports team, Northampton Town.

"We have re-opened our recruitment and anyone looking for a trial with us is welcome to one.

"Application forms can be found on our website and all are reviewed and replied to. Previous unsuccessful applicants are also invited to re-apply."

Bradford City eSports continue week three with fixtures at home to Warkidz eSports and away to R3volution - from 9.00pm tomorrow (Thursday).
