Harry Pritchard insists City are are well-prepared for the challenge Plymouth Argyle will present - ahead of Saturday’s 3.00pm encounter.

The Pilgrims have enjoyed a recent resurgence in form, knocking Forest Green Rovers off the Sky Bet League One summit with a 1-0 victory, last weekend.

But Pritchard is certain the Bantams are more than capable of rising to the occasion, having prepared well for the Home Park visit, this weekend.

The midfielder said: "We know how Plymouth play and are ready for the match. We have a game-plan in place to help us go there and, hopefully, get a result.

"We have been working hard - since the Shrewsbury defeat - on this weekend and how to stop Plymouth playing, get forward and score some goals.

"They beat Forest Green, last time out - away from home - and knocked them off top spot, so we know what they are capable of.

"We know they are a good team so have to make sure we do what we need to do and play as well as we know we can."

Despite disappointment in midweek, Pritchard is now pleased Gary Bowyer’s men are able to focus all their energy onto league matters.

The Bantams suffered elimination from the Emirates FA Cup - in a home replay to Shrewsbury Town - on Tuesday.

Though, former Blackpool man is looking forward to rediscovering the league form he and his team-mates had demonstrated, prior to their cup competition duties.

"We are looking forward to focussing fully on league action, now, and pushing up the table," the 27-year-old.

"With us not being in any of the cup competitions, now, it gives us a good opportunity to focus on the league and fully on our goal, which is getting promoted.

"Prior to the cup games - and the few postponements - we were flying, in the league. We need to get back out there and make sure we pick up where we left off.

"We have a few games in hand, too, so - if we do our jobs properly - we know we can push back up the table - towards the top."
