Over 2,000 people flocked to the Utilita Energy Stadium over the weekend for the Bantams' inaugural Covered Christmas Market.

The event - in conjunction with Bingley Bantams - was held from 11.00am on Saturday November 23 to 4.00pm on Sunday November 24 and saw people of all ages in attendance.

Held in the concourse of the JCT600 Stand (West) at the Utilita Energy Stadium, the market played host to a total of around 50 stalls, offering festive gifts and seasonal food and drink.

Live music from The Salvation Army and dancing from the One In A Mllion free school was witnessed, and there was also an appearance from Santa Claus himself!

City's commercial manager, Michael Shackleton, hailed the weekend, saying: "The Covered Christmas Market went down a treat and heavily exceeded our initial expectations.

"It was great to see so many faces - old and new - come along and spread some Christmas cheer.

"Our thanks must go to Bingley Bantams and everyone who attended over the course of the two days.

"We are looking forward to hosting more events of this kind in the future."
