Daniel Devine spoke of his pride after making his 50th appearance in City colours, in a 1-1 draw at Shrewsbury Town.
Devine - a product of the Bantams’ academy - started in the centre of midfield as Gary Bowyer’s men earned an Emirates FA Cup first-round replay against the Shrews.
The 22-year-old described a 'special' feeling and hopes this milestone can be the first of many, for the club.
He said: "It was a very special moment, for me and my family.
"As I said, before the match, not many academy products - who I can think of - have gone on to reach such a milestone, in recent years.
"It was a really big day, for me, and I am proud to have made 50 appearances for my hometown club.
"It was disappointing to not have marked it with a win. But, now, I am just looking forward to hopefully making many more."
Despite taking the lead and eventually being held to a draw by Sky Bet League One opposition, Devine still felt disheartened to not be leaving the Montgomery Waters Meadow with a victory.
The midfielder insisted he and his team-mates are confident they can build on their performance, and are determined to show this in the return fixture.
Devine added: "We were all disappointed we could not get the win. That is what we went there to do.
"But, we are still in the hat for the draw and, hopefully, we can get the job done, in the replay.
"We could have played a lot better than we did but we still created a lot of chances, which we might have put away - on another day - to get the win.
"It was never going to be an easy game against a League One side but we know there is plenty more to come, from us, so that will be our motivation, heading into the replay."
Supporters can PAY ON THE GATE for the replay, which is set to take place on Tuesday November 19 (7.45pm).
