AWAY DAY GUIDE: SHREWSBURY v CITY

The Bantams get their 2019/20 Emirates FA Cup campaign underway with a trip to Shrawsbury Town, this afternoon. 

We have compiled a handy Away Day Guide - packed full of useful information ahead of the 3.00pm contest!

PYROTECHNICS & BEHAVIOUR

The club would like to remind supporters the possession or use of pyrotechnics inside a football ground is strictly prohibited.

Those found to be carrying or using pyrotechnics will face a long-term ban.

We would like to remind supporters it is a criminal offence to enter the pitch at any time.

Anyone who does so without permission can expect to face prosecution.

ABOUT THE GROUND

The Montgomery Waters Meadow has been home to Salop since opening in July 2007. 

The 9,875-capacity stadium consists of four stands - the Assist Group West Stand, Roland Wycherley East Stand, DM Recruitment North Stand (for travelling supporters) and Salop Leisure South Stand. 

The latter of these consists of 1,400 seats while also hosting room for 555 safe-standing supporters, making this area of the stadium the first of its kind in England or Wales. 

TICKETS

Supporters will be able to PAY ON THE GATE for tomorrow's clash. 

Admission prices are as follows: 

Adults - £10

Concessions - £8

Under-18s - £4

Under-12s - FREE

Admission prices for non-season-ticket holders are as follows:

Adults - £15

Concessions - £12

Under-18s - £6

Under-12s - FREE

CAR PARKING

A number of different parking options are availbale on matchday - around the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

ENTERTAINMENT AND REFRESHMENTS

To drink:

The Wild Pig and Charles Darwin pubs are located around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the stadium.

Both these establishments serve a selection of beers, ciders and spirits, with food and car parking also available. 

To eat:

The Shrews' Fanzone - which opened during the 2016/17 season - is situated next to the Community Football Hub outside the DM Recruitment stand - where travelling City supporters will be housed. 

This area is open to away supporters and hosts live music, serving a range of food and drink. 

In addition, the gorund is located next to the Meole Brace Retail Park a number of different food and drink outlets - including McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Costa and Starbucks - can be found. 

GETTING THERE

By car:

Situated on the south side of Shrewsbury, the Montgomery Waters Meadow is just a stone’s throw from the A5 and A49.

If travelling from the north, you will arrive in Shrewsbury on the A49 and should follow the signs for the football ground.

By train: 

Shrewsbury railway station is two miles from the stadium. On leaving the station, proceed to the bus station (300 yards) to travel on the Express Bus Service or Arriva-operated services.

By bus:

A shuttle bus service will run three journeys from the town's bus station to and from the stadium on matchdays. 

The service will pick up at the Shirehall Car Park, with the return service leaving the stadium from behind the South Stand, 10 minutes after the end of the match.

WEATHER

Supporters could be in for a cold, wet afternoon in Shropshire, tomorrow. 

Temperatures are set to remain at around 3°C with a 85 per-cent chance of rain expected.
