CITY BACKING SUPPORTERS' GROUP

27 March 2019

The Bantams have thrown their weight behind the Bradford City Supporters’ Board, following a meeting between club officials and a host of branches and organisations.

Representatives of various groups held talks with City staff as commitment was renewed for plans to be put in place ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Supporters' Group Chairman Adam Baker attended, alongside vice chairman Carl Smith and Tony Sykes, with representatives of East Bierley Bantams, Shipley Bantams, Bingley Bantams, the Bradford City Supporters' Trust and Bradford City Women’s Football Club all present.

Other groups including Skipton Bantams, Friends of Bradford City and the Bradford City Disability Supporters’ Group are scheduled to attend future, monthly meetings.

“We are delighted the club has renewed its commitment to maintaining a Bradford City Supporters’ Board - a concept whereby fans and supporters’ groups have opportunities to discuss ideas, resolve issues and offer solutions," said Baker.

“It will also provide a channel, once again, for supporters to put forward suggestions relating to matters around the ground, on matchday, in the community - or commercially.

“This has been a difficult season for City fans but we believe, going forward, communication with supporters will provide an important platform in re-affirming the connection with fans off the field.

“It is ‘Our City’ and we want to open this up to anyone who wishes to get involved by sending a short resume, be it in relation to a particular area of interest or experience.”
