JOB VACANCY: UNDER-15s / U16 LEAD COACH (PART-TIME)

19 June 2019

Bradford City Association Football Club is looking to appoint an inspiring Under 15 and 16s lead coach (part-time) to work on a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday morning and take the team for games on a Sunday.

The successful candidate will be able to identify “Talent” in the Youth Development Phase program and provide individual training programmes for this talent, maximizing their potential to become a professional footballer.

Working alongside the Head of Coaching and full-time coaches, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the playing, training and welfare of the players. Strong communication lines will be built with the U18s Link Coach, Head of Coaching, Lead YDP Coach and Academy Manager.

If you have the ability to inspire others, develop their skills and lead a group in a professional academy program, then this is the position for you.

We are looking for an individual who is determined to succeed and who has a proven track record in professional football and youth development.

Bradford City AFC Limited is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Bradford City AFC promotes inclusion, confronts and eliminates discrimination whether by reason of age, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital status or civil partnership, nationality, ethnicity (race), religion or belief, ability or disability, pregnancy and maternity and encourage equal opportunities. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.

All candidates on submission on their application must have a DBS clearance, safeguarding and protecting children, Emergency Aid Certificate, UEFA B Licence, Modules 1, 2 and 3 of the FA Youth Coaches Award. Working towards the FA Advanced Youth
Award and A License.

We will seek satisfactory statements from up to two independent referees.

The EFL has introduced positive action measures aimed at tackling the under-representation of coaches and managers from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds. New regulations require clubs to shortlist at least one suitably qualified
BAME candidate (where an application has been received) for all roles in Academy football that require a UEFA A or UEFA B License.

If you consider your ethnicity to fall within one of the following definitions - Black, Asian or other Minority Ethnic (i.e. from any other ethnic group that is not ‘White British’) - please inform us with your application.
