Gary Bowyer is pleased with the way his summer recruitment drive has begun - and has spoken of “plates spinning” as City look towards the start of pre-season training.
The Bantams boss has already secured new signings Ben Richards-Everton, Tyler French and Sam Hornby.
And last week saw Danny Devine put pen to paper on a new one-year deal with the club.
“We are very pleased to have Tyler, Ben and Sam on board for next season and beyond,” said Bowyer.
“We have plates spinning with a number of players but it is going to take time and a little patience.
“We are hoping to conclude a few deals in the next week or two - and then try and get a few more done prior to the start of pre-season training.
“Experience tells you there are always additions which will be made when we are back in training, with the window still being open.
“When teams get squads settled and the Premier League boys settle down, there could be scope for bringing in one or two others towards the end of the window.
“I am happy with the way things are progressing, we just have to keep plugging away.”
Bowyer insists player profiling has been and will remain key to his recruitment strategy for the 2019/20 campaign.
The former Blackpool and Blackburn chief is keen to bring players to the Northern Commercials Stadium who will relish the prospect of playing in front of sizeable home crowds.
Bowyer explained: “It is important the players we are bringing in have got the desire and competitiveness to challenge and give something back to the supporters through their performances.
“It boils down to a lot of homework, never being off the phone and not just settling for the first opinion you get.
“It is all about speaking to different people within the game, whose opinions you hold in high regard, and then actually meeting the player and getting a gauge for them.
“I think the fact we have already sold more than 13,500 season tickets is a major selling point for me. Players are drawn in.
“It is important I get players in who can thrive in big atmospheres - and buzz off it. The one I have spinning at the moment I know from experience. They are looking forward to it, if we can finalise the deals and get them over the line.
“Of course, I would like to have all our recruitment work completed by the start of July but, realistically, there may be a few additions in the weeks before the start of the season.
“That comes when you get everyone in the building and perhaps question whether you are missing an element.
"There will be plenty of fallout from other clubs picking teams and announcing squads.”
The Bantams will commence pre-season training at the end of the month.
