TEAM NEWS: CITY v LIVERPOOL FC

14 July 2019

Gary Bowyer has named two separate line-ups for this afternoon’s pre-season friendly against Liverpool FC, in aid of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Members of City’s first team squad will don their new 2019/20 season shirt numbers. Trialists Nortei Nortey, Lionel Ainsworth and Chris Taylor will line up in the second half, wearing numberless jerseys, having impressed in the Bantams’ last friendly at Brighouse Town.

Under-18s Reece Staunton, Eliot Goldthorp, Connor Shanks and Finn Cousin-Dawson have, today, been named as Bowyer’s substitutes.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has, too, names two separate line-ups for his side’s trip to the Utilita Energy Stadium, with the exception of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who will play the full 90 minutes.

Fresh from appearances in the Champions League Final, Joe Gomez, James Milner, Fabinho, Dejan Lovren and Divock Origi will all feature for the visitors.
