BANTAMS ANNOUNCE NEW BBC RADIO LEEDS PARTNERSHIP

19 July 2019

Bradford City are pleased to announce a new commentary rights agreement has been struck with BBC Radio Leeds.

The deal will see the station provide radio commentary of every single Bantams match over the course of the 2019/20 season - league and cup, home and away.

Coverage - provided by commentator Tim Steere and guest summariser Andy Kiwomya - will include live commentary of every City fixture, on top of in-depth analysis and interviews with Gary Bowyer and members of his squad.

Sanjiv Buttoo, editor of BBC Radio Leeds, said: "This deal means BBC Radio Leeds is the only station in West Yorkshire offering exclusive commentary of Bradford City, Huddersfield Town and Leeds United.

“I am delighted we are providing such a fantastic package for sports fans. The 2019/20 season should be an exciting one for all three clubs.

“We want our listeners to be part of the whole journey, which is why we have made the commitment to provide full match commentary of every single game.”

City’s director of communications, Ryan Sparks, added: “We are delighted to be extending our agreement with BBC Radio Leeds for a further 12 months.

“We have a fantastic working relationship and BBC Radio Leeds are proud supporters of Bradford City, covering every game - home and away - and providing us with fantastic regional coverage and exposure.

“We look forward to working with the BBC over the course of the coming season, which is already shaping up to be an exciting one.”
