City forward George Miller has been awarded the EFL Young Player of the Month award for December.
The Bantams won three out of their four Sky Bet League One fixtures in the month, scoring 13 goals in the process to boost their survival hopes.
Miller, who recently extended his loan spell with the club after agreeing a move to Barnsley for next season, was on target four times in front of goal over the festive period.
Miller said: “December was a really good month for me and the team. We won three out of four games, which was important and, personally, I scored a few goals and got a few assists.
“Since the gaffer came in the intensity of day-to-day training has increased and I have taken it in my stride.
"When you are doing well it is easy, you are buzzing every week. It is when you are not doing as well it is harder - but that is part and parcel of the game.
“The formation we are playing here suits me, it is how I want to play. I get more license to run in the channels and that is how I enjoy playing football.
"I am not the most technical player but you have got to play to your strengths and this formation allows me to do that.
“I wouldn’t want to be playing for a mid-table team playing for nothing, personally.
"I think it’s important for development to have something to play for.
"Obviously you don’t want to be down the bottom of the table but at the same time it’s good to have something to play for. We go out there every week knowing what we need to do.
“I have had tough seasons pretty much all the clubs I have been at, especially at Bury when we were relegated.
"I am hoping I don’t go through that again this year but I will know more of what to expect having been through these pressured situations before and you have to step up and take it in your stride."
