OPPOSITION GUIDE: LEYTON ORIENT

City are set for their return to Sky Bet League Two action when visiting Leyton Orient tomorrow (3.00pm). 

Ross Embleton's side have endured a difficult beginning to the season and are currently sat 19th in the table. 

We have compiled an Opposition Guide packed full of detailed information on Saturday's hosts.

SUMMER TRANSFER ACTIVITY

The Breyer Group Stadium outfit made steady additions to their squad over the summer, with five arrivals and seven departures. 

Ins: George Marsh (Tottenham Hotspur, loan), Josh Wright (Bradford City), Louis Dennis (Portsmouth), Lee Angol (Shrewsbury Town), Conor Wilkinson (Dagenham and Redbridge). 

Outs: Macauley Bonne (Charlton Athletic), Charlie Lee (Yeovil Town), Alex Lawless (Ebbsfleet United), Jay Simpson (Nea Salamis), Charlie Grainger (Dulwich Hamlet), Ruel Sotiriou (Dover Athletic, loan), Josh Koroma (Huddersfield Town). 

ONES TO WATCH

Joe Widdowson: 

A 30-year-old defender, Widdowson had skippered the O's on multiple occassions, this season. 

The West Ham United academy graduate has also turned out for the likes of Grmsby Town, Northampton Town, Rochdale and Dagenham and Redbridge. 

Jordan Maguire-Drew:

Exciting winger Maguire-Drew signed permanently for Orient in the summer from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 22-year-old also spent time on loan at Lincoln City, Coventry City, Wrexham and Dagenham and Redbridge from the Seagulls. 

Matt Harrold: 

An experienced frontman, Harrold has been plying his trade for his hometown club since August 2017. 

The list of the 35-year-old's former employers also includes Southend United - where he began his career - Wycombe Wanderers, Bristol Rovers, Crawley Town, Shrewsbury Town and Brentford. 

Lee Angol: 

Angol penned a two-year deal in East London over the summer after leavinf Shrewsbury Town. 

The sriker spent time in Tottenham Hotspur's youth academy and has also represented the likes of Peterborough United, Mansfield Town and Lincoln City. 

THE MANAGER

Current interim head coach Ross Embleton has been in the post since former manager Carl Fletcher's sacking, last month. 

The 38-year-old has served three seperate stints as interim Orient manager, with the first coming in 2017. 

As a player, Embleton represented non-league Bedford four times during the 2016/17 campaign. 

THE CAPTAIN

Experienced captain Jobi McAnuff took up a player/coach role having signed a contract extension in the summer. 

At 38 years old, McAnuff has represented the likes of Crystal Palace, Reading, Watford, West Ham United and Cardiff City. 

The AFC Wimbledon academy graduate has also represented Jamaica on 32 occasions at international level.  

LAST TIME OUT

Leyton Orient battled to a 1-1 draw at Oldham Athletic, last time out, in Sky Bet League Two.
