City are set for their first fixture following Christmas, visiting Carlisle United at 3.00pm on Boxing Day (Thursday December 26).

Chris Beech's men have endured a difficult campaign so far and are currently sat in 22nd place in the Sky Bet League Two table.

The Brunton Park side added to their side with 15 signings during the summer with a further 13 outgoings.

ONES TO WATCH

Harry McKirdy:

A talented midfielder, McKirdy has enjoyed an electric start to the season and is Carlisle's top goalscorer, with four. 

The 22-year-old began his youth career at Stoke City before moving to his current club, Aston Villa. 

Candice Carroll:

Carroll joined the Cumbrians in the summer, on loan from Brentford. 

Just 20 years old, the midfielder is a product of the Oxford United academy and has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at youth level. 

Hallam Hope: 

Although only 25 years old, Hope carries a wealth of experience, having spent his youth career at Manchester City and Everton. 

The forward has represented England at youth level and scored two goals in two senior appearances for Barbados. 

Kelvin Etuhu:

A powerful midfielder, Etuhu broke through the Manchester City academy, making ten leagueappearences for the first team. 

The 31-year-old carries an abundance of EFL experience, serving spells at the likes of Cardiff City, Portsmouth, Barnsley and Bury. 

THE MANAGER

Chris Beech has been at the Carlisle helm since being appointed following Steven Pressley's departure, in November. 

The Blackpoon man's managing experience includes taking caretaker charge of Rochdale between 2011 and 2012. 

A midfielder in his playing days, the 45-year-old represented Dale in addition to spells at Huddersfield Town and his hometown Tangerines - where he graduated from the youth academy. 

THE CAPTAIN

Adam Collin was appointed Carlisle captain over the summer, following the retirement of long-standing club servant Danny Grainger. 

The experienced goalkeeper began his career at Newcastle United and is a product of the academy at St. James' Park. 

The 34-year-old has also served spells at the likes of Rotherham United and Notts County. 

LAST TIME OUT

Carlisle were beaten 3-0 at Colchester United in their final outing before Christmas, on Saturday December 21.
