O'DONNELL EXPECTING 'TOUGH' MANSFIELD TEST

Richard O’Donnell is hopeful of turning recent draws into victories, ahead of Sunday's visit of Mansfield Town.

Despite dominating recent matches - the Bantams have been made to settle for draws in their last three games

However, the goalkeeper believes the game against the Stags will be another difficult test.

O’Donnell stated: “It is going to be another tough game because there are no easy fixtures in this league.

“It will be a physical battle but we have just got to focus on ourselves.

“If you put our performances into perspective, we have got to finish our opponents off with a couple of goals.

“If we start scoring, these draws will soon be turned to victories.

“I believe in what we are trying to do and hopefully we can turn these performances into wins.”

Gary Bowyer’s men kept their five-game unbeaten run alive, but were unable to come away with three points following a 0-0 Boxing Day draw at Carlisle United.

Nonetheless, City's No.1 thought he and his team-mates deserved all three points and should take positives from the goalless draw.

He added: “It was a bit scrappy at times but, again, I thought we probably did enough to win the game.

“We had a couple of chances, especially in the second half, but so did they. To say we kept a clean sheet away from home is a positive.

“However, we just cannot put the ball in the net, at the moment. I do feel like we are really close - we are making the chances but it is just not falling for us.

“We obviously did not convert against Carlisle, which was disappointing, but we would be even more annoyed if we were not creating chances at all.

“All we can do is carry on being positive, going into the Mansfield game.”
