O'BRIEN LOOKING TO KICK ON

20 September 2018

Bantams new-boy Jim O’Brien is looking to pick up from where he left off when City face Doncaster this weekend.

David Hopkin’s third game in charge comes on Saturday, as City go in search of victory at the Keepmoat Stadium (3.00pm).

O’Brien debuted last time out and was named man of the match following the Bantams’ visit of Charlton.

The Scottish midfielder said: “The lads have been really welcoming and I have slotted in quite quickly. It is a good fit for me and I am looking forward to the challenges in front of us.

“The fans have been fantastic and we need them to keep getting behind us. The expectations are high and I will do all I can to help the team going forward.

“I need to get plenty of minutes under my belt and my fitness levels will improve. I feel sharp and training has gone well but games are totally different.

“Progression is the key word for us. The head coach is trying to put his own ideas in but he has to do it slowly, so the players can adapt.

“We have a very good squad. There are a lot of young lads here, who have a great futures ahead of them, and it is up to the older heads to help them along the way.”

Tickets for Saturday’s game are still available and can be purchased by CLICKING HERE or visiting the Northern Commercials Stadium.
