Kelvin Mellor says City are well placed to continue their unbeaten run when Sunderland visit the Northern Commercials Stadium tomorrow (3.00pm).

The Bantams have taken points from their last three fixtures, recording clean sheets in successive Sky Bet League One outings.

Mellor impressed as City dispatched Wimbledon on Tuesday evening.

And the former Blackpool defender, who joined the club in July, insists David Hopkin’s side have what it takes to be successful this weekend.

Mellor said: “It is going to be a big occasion and games like these are always great for the supporters.

“I know a big crowd is expected, which should make for a great atmosphere. Hopefully, our fans will spur us towards getting another result.

“Victory would be a big reward for our supporters and we will give it everything. There is no reason we cannot get something from the game.

“Sunderland are a great side and have big ambitions in terms of returning to the Championship.

“But we are in a good place at the moment and our performances are continuing to improve.”

You can pay on the gate tomorrow, from 1.30pm, though the ticket office will be open from 9.00am.

PLEASE NOTE: Supporters who still need to exchange their Northern Commercials Stand (Midland Road) tickets can do so up until kick-off.
