STEPHEN DARBY APPRECIATION EVENING

26 October 2018

Tickets are still on sale for Tuesday’s Stephen Darby appreciation evening.

The event was designed to raise funds for the former City captain, Stephen Darby, who announced his retirement from professional football in September, after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease.

The event, which gets underway from 7.30pm at the Northern Commercials Stadium, will raise money to support Darby and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Several of Darby’s former team-mates and managers are attending, including Gary Jones, Rory McArdle, James Hanson, Billy Clarke, Filipe Morais and Jon Stead.

The night will formally mark the launch of a brand-new book, 'Who We Are', written by Jason McKeown, which boasts interviews with the likes of Paul Jewell, Stuart McCall, Gary Jones and more.

Tickets for the event are priced at £10.

Tickets will be available to buy from The City Shop Website until 4:00pm today (Friday 26th October), after which they will only be available to buy in the shop, until 5:00pm on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the Club will announce whether people can pay on the door.

All proceeds from tickets and the event itself will be donated to Stephen Darby and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Please note: There will be no food available to purchase on the evening, however the bar will be open.
