SLEEP OUT BRADFORD - LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER

19 November 2018

Those who wish to take part in this Thursday’s Sleep Out have until midnight tomorrow to register.

So far, over 140 people have signed up to sleep in the JCT600 concourse this Thursday night (22nd November) and there's not long left to put your name down to take part.

Participants have until 11:59pm tomorrow (20th November 2018) to register and take part in Thursday’s big Sleep Out.

This is the Club's second Sleep Out to help raise money for Centrepoint, a charity which supports 150 homeless young people aged 16-25 in Bradford every single day.

The charity helps by providing 16-25 year olds with accommodation and support to help people turn their lives around by gaining essential life skills, such as tackling physical and mental health issues and moving into education and or employment.

Registration is just £20 - and the fundraising target is £200.

On the evening, the doors will open at 7:00pm for 7:30pm start.

There will be food, drinks and live music as well as the opportunity to learn more about Centrepoint’s work in Bradford.

While Sleep Out doesn’t aim to replicate homelessness, it does give you an insight into the challenges faced by those sleeping rough.

The money raised will help introduce the Centrepoint Sport Training Centre Programme in Bradford.

Centrepoint Sport is a programme which uses Street Football to improve the emotional wellbeing, resilience, motivation and self-confidence of young people who are homeless or at risk and turn their lives around.

As well as hosting the annual fundraising, Paula Watson and Isabel Pitts – two members of City’s off-field team – will be swapping their bed’s for the concrete floor this Thursday.

As part of signing up for the event, Paula Watson and Isabel Pitts - members of City’s off-field team - have created an online donation page which goes straight to the charity.
