The Bantams will get their first chance to sample the new playing surface at the Northern Commercials Stadium when they entertain Championship side Sheffield United in a pre-season fixture on Tuesday 17 July.
The home friendly with the Blades will kick off at 7:30pm.
Extensive pitch redevelopment work is already underway at Valley Parade, as City look to make significant upgrades to the playing surface along with the necessary repair and replacement of the existing drainage system.
The Blades' visit to the Northern Commercials Stadium will be City's first outing on home soil since their final home match of last season against Walsall on 1 May.
Along with news of the Sheff Utd encounter, the Club can also confirm they will kick off their pre-season campaign with a friendly fixture away to Farsley Celtic on Saturday 7 July (kick off 3:00pm).
Pre-season matches are scheduled for Tuesday 10 July and Saturday 14 July as well for the Bantams, with opponents, venues and kick off times for these games to be announced in the coming days.
On top of these friendlies, the Club are also in the process of arranging additional pre-season fixtures for further into the month of July.
