FT | BRADFORD CITY 1 WALSALL 1

1 May 2018

Tuesday 1 May 2018
Sky Bet League One
Bradford City 1 (Lund 45+1)
Walsall 1 (Oztumer 22)
Kick Off: 7:45pm
at the Northern Commercials Stadium

Att: 18,976 (257 visitors)

The Bantams were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in their final home match of the season against Walsall.

Matthew Lund's header on the stroke of half time drew Simon Grayson's men level after Erhun Oztumer had put the Saddlers in the lead midway through the first period.

Grayson's side pushed for a winner after the break, with substitute Jordan Gibson going close shortly after coming on and Tony McMahon firing over after a Shay McCartan shot from distance was parried.

City defender Stephen Warnock was substituted twelve minutes from the end to warm applause on his final home appearance before retirement.

In keeping with tradition, those within the stadium had earlier fallen silent for a minute of remembrance ahead of kick off to honour those affected by the 1985 Valley Parade Fire Disaster.
