FIVE THINGS | YEOVIL TOWN (AWAY)

4 January 2018

Stuart McCall's Bantams return to action in the Emirates FA Cup this Saturday (6 January 2018) in their third round encounter with Sky Bet League Two side Yeovil Town.

Ahead of City's trip to Huish Park, let's take a look at five possible talking points going into the weekend...

1. Up for the cup!
City head to Yeovil looking to secure their spot in the fourth round of this season's competition. Should McCall's men progress, it will be their first time at this stage of the FA Cup since the famous campaign of 2014/2015 which saw the Bantams make it all the way to quarter-finals.

2. City to keep the scoring up?
The Bantams have netted five times in their two previous FA Cup ties this season coming into Saturday's tie. Interestingly, all five goals have come via different goalscorers - Alex Gilliead, Alex Jones, Romain Vincelot, Nathaniel Knight-Percival and Charlie Wyke.

3. Shay taking his chance
Two in two for the Northern Ireland international, can Shay McCartan keep his recent scoring run up at Huish Park on Saturday? After being recalled back into the side, McCartan netted in the recent wins over Oxford United and Fleetwood Town. What are the odds on McCartan scoring again against Yeovil?

4. Options for McCall
Following Monday's hard-fought victory at Fleetwood, McCall could be forgiven for sticking with the same side again for the visit to Yeovil at the weekend. With Matthew Kilgallon and Tyrell Robinson potentially back in contention, however, could changes be in the pipeline?

5. Eventful occasion for Yeovil last time out
Opponents Yeovil will go into Saturday's game without two of their starters from their New Year's Day fixture with Crawley Town. Omar Sowunmi and Connor Smith were both dismissed during the Crawley encounter - a game Yeovil would eventually lose 2-1. Along with the two red cards, Monday's game also saw an eleven-minute stoppage after a drone was spotted above the Huish Park pitch. Although Yeovil will be without Sowunmi and Smith, the hosts are expected to feature former Bantams loanees Ryan Dickson and Francois Zoko in their match-day squad. On City's side of things, Nicky Law featured for Yeovil during a loan spell in Somerset back in 2007.
