David Hopkin has called on his Bantams to make the most of their opportunity, with second-tier opposition lying in wait for tonight’s winner.
Hopkin’s men host Peterborough United in their Emirates FA Cup second-round replay from 7.45pm - this evening - at the Northern Commercials Stadium.
The victor will travel to face Middlesbrough in the competition’s third stage.
And the City manager, who is remaining tight-lipped in terms of how the Bantams will line up tonight, is expecting his side to rise to the occasion.
“There may well be a few changes, following a long trip to Plymouth on Saturday, and we have a couple of players carrying knocks,” said Hopkin.
“We go into every game looking to get a result and tonight will be no different.
“We will treat the game with the respect it deserves. We want to do well and there is a tie against Middlesbrough coming up for the winner.
“Peterborough are a good side, with a great deal of attacking flair, and it will be very tough for us.
“But we are looking forward to playing on home soil again. It has been a while, we have been doing a fair bit of travelling.
“Against the top teams in our division we have raised our game and I expect more of that from us.”
City enter tonight’s contest having only lost one of their last six fixtures, in all competitions.
Admission is priced at £10 (adults), £5 (concessions) and £1 (juniors) - and supporters will be able to pay on the gate.
