DIENG THE ONLY EXPECTED ABSENTEE FOR NORTHAMPTON TOWN TRIP

21 September 2017

Bantams assistant Kenny Black says that midfielder Timothee Dieng is the only outfield member of City's senior playing squad set to be ruled out for the trip to Northampton Town this Saturday.

Dieng is still currently sidelined with a calf problem picked up last month.

Romain Vincelot, who has netted in his last three games, and Tony McMahon both went into last Saturday's game against Rotherham United with knocks but the pair are expected to be fine for the visit to Sixfields Stadium.

Black said: "He (Timothee Dieng) is the only player guaranteed to miss out this weekend.

"We've had a few niggles recently with two or three players, but I would imagine it would be the same group that we've used for the last couple of weeks.

"The lads know at the moment that they have to train hard just to get into the squad.

"Tom Field, for example, can certainly count himself unlucky not to be in the eighteen last Saturday (vs Rotherham United).

"He came in and did a good job at Oxford United - probably his best performance since he came to the club - but we couldn't find a place for him even on the bench for the Rotherham game."
