FIVE THINGS | DONCASTER ROVERS (HOME)

28 September 2017

Stuart McCall's Bantams entertain Doncaster Rovers at the Northern Commercials Stadium this Saturday (30 September 2017).

Ahead of the Doncaster encounter, we take a look at five possible talking points going into the weekend...

1. Looking to bounce back
After the disappointment of Tuesday's home defeat at the hands of Fleetwood Town, McCall's men return to the Northern Commercials Stadium on Saturday for the visit of Doncaster Rovers. Can City use the Yorkshire derby as a chance to return to winning ways?

2. Rovers return
This Saturday's match will be Doncaster's second trip to Valley Parade in less than two months following the round one Carabao Cup tie between the two sides back in early August. Doncaster ran out 3-2 winners on that occasion against a City side who saw Romain Vincelot sent off in the second period. Can the Bantams change things around at the weekend and become the victors this time?

3. Possible changes?
With City aiming to bounce back after their disappointing Fleetwood defeat in midweek, will McCall look to make changes to his starting XI? Charlie Wyke, Paul Taylor and Dominic Poleon all made an appearance in the Fleetwood game from the substitutes' bench. Could any of these three earn a starting berth against Rovers this Saturday?

4. Aware of Rovers' away form
Going into this Saturday's encounter, opponents Doncaster actually have a better away record in Sky Bet League One this season than they have at their own Keepmoat Stadium. Doncaster have yet to win at home in the league in the early stages of the 2017/2018 campaign - their two victories so far have come away to Blackburn Rovers and Plymouth Argyle.

5. 100 up for McMahon
Should Tony McMahon feature at the weekend, it will be his 100th appearance for City (including his loan spell at the club during the 2014/2015 season). Only Nicky Law (103) has more appearances for City within the current squad, although his overall total includes two previous loan spells with the Bantams earlier in his career.
