AWAY FANS' GUIDE | NORTHAMPTON TOWN

21 September 2017

Stuart McCall's Bantams travel to Sixfields Stadium this Saturday (23 September 2017) for their Sky Bet League One fixture with Northampton Town.

Ahead of City's trip to Northampton, we take a look at some relevant match-day information for those fans travelling to the home of the Cobblers...

Address:

Northampton Town FC
Sixfields Stadium
Upton Way
Northampton
NN5 5QA

Away section:
City supporters will be located in the Moulton College Stand at Sixfields Stadium. This particular stand is a covered, all-seater section of the ground situated behind one end of the stadium to the right of the main stand at Northampton.

Tickets:
Match ticket details for this Saturday's game can be found HERE.

Directions:
Stay on the M1 motorway until Junction 16. Take the A45 towards Northampton and the ground will be eventually visable on your right. The Sixfields Stadium is signposted around the local area.

Parking:
There is a supporters' car park available for use at Sixfields Stadium, with spaces usually costing £4.00 each. This particular facility will be reduced come this Saturday, however. A travelling funfair has hired the north gravel car park, meaning it will be unavailable to supporters for the match. The north overflow car park and south gravel car park will be open as normal though. Fans are not advised to park in any of the restaurant and leisure facility car parks nearby. Supporters parking in any areas other than the official car parks at Sixfields Stadium unfortunately run the risk of being issued with a ticket by the parking enforcement officers that patrol the surrounding roads on a match-day.

Bus/Rail:
Northampton Railway Station is just over two miles away from Sixfields Stadium. A taxi rank is located across the road from the main entrance to the station. There is also a bus stop near to the station, with the number 15 bus going past the ground and running every twenty minutes or so. Buses D1, D2, D3 and number 50 also go past the stadium but they only run every hour. If in doubt, please click with the driver when boarding a bus to see if it passes by the Sixfields Stadium.

Food/Drink:
The Sixfields Stadium is built on a leisure complex on the outskirts of Northampton town centre, meaning away supporters have plenty of choice for pre-match food and drink. In terms of pubs, fans can look towards the Sixfields Tavern and Flaming Grill pub, both of which are near to the stadium. At the ground itself there is the 'Carrs Bar' which is open to home and away supporters. Away supporters have ample choice when it comes to looking for something to eat. Nearby food outlets including a Frankie & Benny's, KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, TGI Fridays, Bella Italia and Buddies USA diner. Other pre-match options (time-permitting of course!) in the local area include a Cineworld Cinema and Ten-Pin Bowling alley.
