City attacker Billy Clarke admitted that Saturday's Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final defeat to Millwall was a particularly tough one to take given the tightness of the game.
Millwall forward Steve Morison struck with less than five minutes of normal time remaining to send the Lions into the Championship and break Bantam hearts.
Victory for Millwall came after an extremely tight and close-fought encounter at Wembley Stadium which could easily have gone either way.
Speaking after the game, Clarke said: “All the lads are absolutely devastated and it’s really hard to take.
“We gave it our all, but it was always going to be a tight game and a matter of fine lines. We just didn’t want to be on the losing side of that.”
