As part of our #TeamTwenty Campaign, we’ve been asking our supporters to send in their stories about why they purchased a 2017/18 Season Ticket.
In this week’s edition, we’ve been speaking to Steven Stocks, an adopted Bantam from Kirkcaldy in Scotland.
Here is what Steven had to say: “I'm originally from Kirkcaldy in Scotland and followed Raith Rovers all over Scotland, sadly I was too young for the European away trips!
"I fell out of love with the game for a while and didn't attend any games for years. Since moving to West Yorkshire in 2011, I needed a fresh start after unfortunately being diagnosed with Cancer.
"I started following City’s results at the end of the 2011/12 season but couldn't make any games due to work commitments, having to start at 4am most mornings.
"I've since moved to Wibsey, got married and I've started taking my stepson Jack (pictured above), 5 to a few games and he loves it!
"This is the reason why I've got Season Tickets for the two of us. Jack’s sister, Emily also has a Season Ticket and we’re hoping she comes more regularly!
"My first City game was in 2013 whilst Jack's first game was the Play-Off Semi-Final final leg vs Millwall last season and ever since then we’d planned to get season tickets.
"Unfortunately, we couldn't get them this season, so as soon as they became available for next season I purchased them!
"I think it's important to support our local team as it brings a sense of community.
"I also feel the way Bradford City are run should serve as a model for clubs all over England. I feel as though many clubs are pricing out the next generation of fans with some insane prices.
"I think in many ways it's not just about the Club being on our doorstep, it's everything about the club that attracts me.”
With Season Tickets priced at just £149.00 for Adults and £5.00 Juniors, that’s just £6.47 and 21p per game respectively and we’d love to get 20,000 Season Ticket Holders.
