ACCESS CONTROL ANNOUNCEMENT

7 March 2017

Bradford City plan stadium developments for next season to reduce season ticket misuse.

With the season ticket campaign already well underway for 2017/18, the Club would like to draw fans attention to certain improvements and developments we are looking to introduce for next season.

We are currently in dialogue with suppliers of 'access control systems' to look at how we can dramatically reduce the misuse and multiple use of season tickets on match days.

One benefit for the Club and the supporters will be that it will streamline the entry to the stadium and make sure fans get into the stadium without unnecessary delays.

However, the huge benefit for the Club will be that it will eliminate people gaining access to the stadium without tickets or with tickets with the wrong status, such as adults buying junior tickets to gain access.

campaign including tickets being available for £149.00 until 2#TEAMTWENTYSince the new owners took over the Club they have been keen to make sure that football remains affordable for all and the current nd April 2017 supports that vision.

However, they are also very clear that this pledge can only remain if the Club receive all that revenue to which it is entitled.

Therefore, there will be a clampdown on anyone gaining entry next season with inappropriate tickets, passes (or even having no passes).

Chief Operations Officer, James Mason said: “We pride ourselves on the thousands of Bradford City supporters who are loyal to the club.

"However, there is a very small minority who still try beat the system by sharing season tickets or try to gain access to the stadium without paying.

"This only disadvantages the Club and their fellow fans.  We aim to use the available tools and technology available to us to ensure we get full value for the tickets sold”.

Now more than ever, there is an incentive to buy a season ticket early and to get one for the right status.

Anyone not buying a season ticket or buying a junior ticket to gain access for an adult will not only be disappointed next season they will be punished if found guilty.

Our message is simple. Don’t miss out – back the Club in the right way and we will be pleased to see you following City throughout 2017/18.
