GIRLS' FOOTBALL AND EDUCATION PROGRAMME

1 June 2017

The Club's Community Foundation Girls’ Football & Education course kicks off in September and combines the academic side with 11 a side football at a professional football club.

The scholars will study a BTEC Diploma in Sport at a purpose built base. The scholars will play in the National College league and compete against other colleges / universities as well as training every day; the next best thing to actually being a professional footballer!

The Football & Education programme is a specialist work related programme built around the BTEC Diploma in Sport covering key aspects such as coaching, nutrition, leadership and sports development.

This course can lead to an array of routes ranging from University education to full time employment in the sport and leisure sector; as you will gain valuable work experience in a professional sporting environment.

Bradford City Girls u16s Captain Maisie Norde, who has signed up for the course, said: “This is perfect for me because whilst I have aspirations of becoming a professional footballer I realise my education is vitally important and this platform allows me to continue with my education at the same time as continuing to develop as a footballer”.
