DIENG BACK FOR FC HALIFAX FRIENDLY

28 July 2017

Bantams midfielder Timothee Dieng is expected to make a return from injury in City's final pre-season friendly of the summer at FC Halifax Town this Saturday.

Dieng has been sidelined for the past two weeks with a calf problem, his last action coming in the first half at TV Echterdingen.

City boss Stuart McCall says the Frenchman is likely to get an hour at Halifax's MBi Shay Stadium in the behind-closed-doors fixture.

Dominic Poleon will miss out again with an ankle problem, although the striker is targeting some game-time in a development squad friendly at York City next Tuesday.

Paul Taylor is still sidelined with a knock, while Charlie Wyke could join in with full training at some point next week after a hamstring injury.

McCall said: "Only Tim (Dieng) will come back in at Halifax.

"We will look to get in him 60 minutes or so, then the full game on Tuesday (vs York City).

"We're glad to have Tim back. The rest of the squad will probably be the same as it was for the Newcastle game on Wednesday.

"Charlie (Wyke) is making progress now, he is getting stronger.

"He will be in at the weekend here at the training ground with the physios.

"Dom Poleon and Tyrell (Robinson) have both been doing some work on the training pitch as well.

"Hopefully those two will be involved in full training next week."
