...AND NOW OFF TO AUSTRIA!

9 July 2017

After kicking off their pre-season programme with Saturday's friendly at Bradford Park Avenue, Stuart McCall's Bantams will now head off to Austria for a four-day training camp in the country.

McCall's men will fly into Germany on Monday afternoon before travelling across to nearby Austria to set up base for the week.

From Tuesday onwards, City's squad will train for four consecutive days at their Austrian camp.

The Bantams will then finish off their time abroad with a pre-season friendly fixture against TV Echterdingen in Stuttgart on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of City's time in Austria and Germany, McCall said: "We are looking forward to this week away with the group.

"It will give some of the new lads the opportunity to settle in a bit better and get to know the other guys.

"The time away will also give us the chance to really work with the lads and give them a greater idea of what we are expecting from them this season.

"The first week of training was really just about working on fitness levels and getting back into the swing of things.

"Starting from next week, we can now work with the lads a bit more to get our message across.

"We're all looking forward to this time away and this opportunity to get some work done on the training ground."

City's travelling party for their time away in Austria and Germany will be:

Doyle (GK), Sattelmaier (GK), McMahon, Hanson, Chicksen, Vincelot, Knight-Percival, Barr, Kilgallon, Reeves, Law, Dieng, Pybus, Devine, Taylor, Gilliead, McCartan, Wyke, Jones, Poleon, Patrick

City's remaining players, including Ellis Hudson, Tyrell Robinson and Callum Gunner, are scheduled to take part in development squad friendlies back in England during the forthcoming week.
