HANSON SET TO RETURN FOR SHREWSBURY TRIP

12 January 2017

Bantams boss Stuart McCall has confirmed that striker James Hanson will be available for selection for Saturday's trip to Shrewsbury Town in Sky Bet League One.

Hanson missed the home win over Chesterfield last weekend due to a minor calf problem but the 29 year-old is set to make up part of City's travelling party to Shrewsbury's Greenhous Meadow.

Filipe Morais remains sidelined with his own calf problem, but McCall is hopeful Billy Clarke can play a part in next Tuesday's trip to Cheltenham Town in the Checkatrade Trophy after nearly two months on the sidelines for the Irishman.

McCall said: "James has worked with the physios over the course of the last two days and he will join with us tomorrow (Friday).

"He will travel with the rest of the squad to Shrewsbury and be available for selection.

"Billy has worked incredibly hard over the last few days with Shorty (Chris Short, Fitness Coach) - almost like a mini pre-season.

"He will do the same sort of work Friday and Saturday, with the intention of him joining in with the rest of the lads on Monday and being involved possibly on Tuesday in the Checkatrade Trophy.

"Fil is still on the road to recovery. He is doing light jogging at the moment."

In other news, City attacker Reece Webb-Foster has moved on loan to Bradford Park Avenue until 11 February 2017.
