COME JOIN THE #BANTAMSFAMILY THIS SATURDAY!

3 February 2017

It is still not too late for City fans to grab a bargain cheering on their heroes at the Northern Commercials Stadium this weekend as part of a family fun day.

Cut-price tickets are available for the Bantams’ Sky Bet League One clash against Gillingham this Saturday, February 4 (kick-off 3:00pm).

Adults have been urged to snap up their tickets for £10.00 each, while children aged under 16 can see the match for £1.00.

Saturday's game be the first opportunity fans have to see at first hand the team’s new signings following Tuesday's transfer deadline.

To take advantage of the reduced ticket prices, supporters must purchase their tickets online or via the club’s ticket office up until kick-off.

Bradford City’s Chief Operating Officer James Mason is hoping that City fans can come together and also encourage new fans to come along by stating, ‘We have consistently over the past few seasons grown our attendances and this has been part of a deliberate pricing strategy.

"We sold almost 18,000 season tickets in the summer for the second year in a row but that doesn’t mean our business is finished. Families are key to our future and we’d like to offer the opportunity for fans to introduce their club to a new generation of fans too. Please ask your neighbour to come along, your mates down the pub, or fellow parents in the school playground!

"Everyone is welcome to sample what they are missing. Firstly it’s affordable at £10 and £1 respectively and this year we’re playing exciting attractive football. We want Bradford City to be the number one family destination in the region on a Saturday afternoon."

Coun Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Environment, Sport and Culture, said: “It’s a great offer for families which we hope people will take advantage of.

“Bradford City plays a really important part in raising the profile of the city and the district and we want to support the vital role they play in the local community.”

Steve Hartley, Strategic Director for Place, Bradford Council added: “The Club have done a great job building support from all parts of the District.  Saturday’s #Bantamsfamily offer will help build the positive momentum that is growing across the club and the city as a whole.

"As a season ticket holder I’ll be there at the weekend and will be encouraging family members to come with me to enjoy the game!”

The supporters group Friends of Bradford City will be sponsoring the game, and they will be on hand giving gifts out to all young fans.

In addition, the players will be wearing a limited edition fourth kit which will be a white shirt with claret and amber vertical stripes made from the names of supporters who bought the shirts before they went on general sale.

Reduced tickets are priced at £10.00 adults and £1.00 for juniors in Blocks E & G of the Northern Commercials Stand.

Subject to availability, tickets will be on sale up until kick off (3:00pm) on Saturday.
