McCALL | WE GO AGAIN

24 December 2017

Bantams boss Stuart McCall says City will be in training on Sunday (Christmas Eve) as they aim to bounce back from the defeat at AFC Wimbledon.

Despite hitting the woodwork three times, City suffered only their second away league defeat of the season against Wimbledon on Saturday, losing out 2-1 to the Dons in the capital.

The Bantams have the opportunity to get back to winning ways fairly quickly, however, when they entertain Peterborough United on Boxing Day in the next stage of their festive programme.

McCall said: "We will be in on Sunday (Christmas Eve) and then the lads will have Christmas Day off.

"Sunday's session will involve some physical work, but it will also give us a chance to look at some things and see how we can do things better.

"There was huge disappointment in the dressing room after Saturday (vs AFC Wimbledon).

"The lads are desperate to get back out there now.

"Peterborough are a very dangerous side.

"I saw them in their previous away match at Fleetwood - a game they won 3-2.

"They have some good attacking players in their squad.

"Jack Marriott is the top scorer in the league and Marcus Maddison is a player who I'm sure has caught the eye of a few Championship clubs.

"It could be an entertaining match.

"We had a good game with Scunthorpe this time last year, and it will be good to be at home again on Boxing Day.

"We will look to re-group after Saturday and put in a positive performance against Peteborough.

"There should be great crowd in the stadium and a cracking atmosphere."
