Bradford City 1 (P Taylor 47)
Kick Off: 3.00pm
at the Cherry Red Records Stadium

Attendance: 4,215 (533 visitors)

The Bantams suffered only their second away defeat of the league season following a narrow defeat to AFC Wimbledon at the start of the traditional festive period.

Lyle Taylor's swerving drive from distance proved to be the winner after Paul Taylor had cancelled out Cody McDonald's early opener with a close range strike soon after the restart.

An honest and hard-working display from Wimbledon made it difficult for Stuart McCall's men, but City still managed to hit the woodwork three times.

Matthew Kilgallon's thumped a header against the crossbar shortly after McDonald's opening goal, while Nicky Law planted a header of his own against the far post shortly after Lyle Taylor had put the hosts back in front.

Adam Thompson, in for the injured Nathaniel Knight-Percival, went agonisingly close to securing a dramatic leveller in the final moments of injury time but his shot from inside the area crashed against the post with George Long in the Wimbledon goal beaten.
