NEW TURNSTILE PROCEDURES FOR SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

1 August 2017

As the new season draws closer, we are beginning our final preparations to deliver the changes Bradford City FC announced earlier in the summer. One of these was based around an access control system around the stadium. Please read the following information carefully so that you are aware of the changes going forward into the first game against Blackpool on Saturday (5  August  2017).

You will have noticed as you collect your season ticket cards for the new season that we have added barcodes to the back of them.

These barcodes are registered with the season ticket/membership number which has remained on the cards.

As you enter the stadium these barcodes are required to be scanned by the turnstile operator.

To make this work efficiently and quickly you will be required to hand your ticket over.

Therefore, it you normally carry your season ticket in a wallet, purse or card holder, please remove the card as you approach the turnstile or entrance.

It is no longer possible for supporters just to wave their card at the operator; it must be handed over to be scanned.

Turnstiles will always open at least an hour and a half before kick-off (usually 1.30pm for a 3pm game) which allows plenty of time for supporters to get into the stadium.

Whenever possible, we will open the turnstiles earlier but at least a couple of turnstiles will be open 90 minutes before the advertised kick-off time.

In addition to the season ticket checks, it will be necessary to carry-out essential security checks.

Therefore, wherever possible, please do not bring bags to the stadium but if this is unavoidable, please note all bags must be searched before entry.

We will always open as many turnstiles as possible, but please arrive at the stadium as early as possible.

Home supporters have responded well in the last couple of seasons to our requests to arrive early and we hope that will continue in the future.

However, many supporters still arrive at the stadium in the last 20 minutes before kick-off.  Please arrive just a few minutes earlier to avoid queues that may build-up in those last few minutes.

The following points will help to ensure your passage into the stadium is as smooth as possible:

  • Season Tickets are colour coded based on age, price and location. Please make sure you have the right priced ticket before you approach the turnstiles
  • Make sure you are using the correct ticket for entering the correct stand
  • Arrive at the stadium as early as possible
