DO YOU WANT TO SUPPORT AFFORDABLE FOOTBALL FOR ALL?

20 April 2017

Do you want to support #AffordableFootball for all?

As a football club, we consider ourselves as one of the flag bearers for affordable in this country and having sold a club record of over 18,000 Season Tickets since the launch of the campaign over six weeks ago. This is an incredible achievement for a club at this level and there are still almost a couple of weeks left of the early bird prices.

Approximately 1,000 of the 18,000 Season Tickets sold, have been purchased by new or returning Season Ticket holders. During the campaign we have been overwhelmed to see how many Season Tickets have been donated by other City fans. These fans may not be able to get to the games for one reason or another, but would still like to contribute. We've even had donations from fans of other clubs in support of our warmly received and successful attempt to make football affordable for all.

Over 150 Season Tickets have been donated by exiles fans in Moscow, Canada and even as far away as Australia. City fans closer to home in the likes of London and Scotland have wanted to show their support from afar as well as local businesses such as TL Dallas, Keybury Fire and Security and Telegraph & Argus who have chipped in with Season Tickets to help us try and reach our targets.

Supporters' Group, 'Friends of Bradford City' have decided with the backing of the club to set up a donation page to allow fans to contribute anonymously and in their own way. The money raised from these donations will be used to purchase Season Tickets for those less fortunate. We would also welcome contributors to make suggestions as to which charities, groups or organisations we could look to support with donations of Season Tickets in our attempt to make provide affordable football for literally everyone who wishes to come and watch football here at the Northern Commercials Stadium.

Donations can be made in any amount and as stressed the club have decided to honour the original Season Ticket prices for any donations. This means a full adult ticket will be £149, a junior ticket £99 and an under 11 ticket at just £5.

We want more to clubs to see that we are really passionate about making football affordable for all in the hope that they will follow suit and make going to watch a game of football more affordable up and down the country.

Football should be a family pursuit and we'd like to see stadiums full on a weekly basis, as opposed to half empty.

So, if you are a football fan and want to contribute to something special happening at our club and hopefully across the football community, please feel free to contribute.
